How to increase the concentration at 40

Concentration

Concentration means of mental efforts you have towards whatever you’re learning or working on it at the moment. Don’t confuse with the attention span, attention span means the length of time you can concentrate on something. If you might have wished ever that you could increase your ability to coco concentrate then primarily you have to note the factors of lack of concentration and then a solution of those factors.

Factors that lead to low concentrations loss

Attention span and concentration can vary for some reasons. some people have a harder assignment tuning the out distractions. Some major factors cause the lack of concentration.

 

By the tricks given below, we can enhance the quality of concentration

Let’s train your brain

Play specific types of competitions that can help you get good concentration.
1. Chess
2. Memory games
3. Word searches
A research study of 2015 told that about 4,715 adults suggest spending 15 minutes a day and 5 days a week, on brain training activities can have more impact on their concentration.
Games also can help you to increase the attention power. Brain training also beneficial for kids similarly, a book of word puzzles, to complete a jigsaw puzzle together, or a memory game is a good recommendation for kid’s brain training. Colouring also a good brain training source and interesting for kids.

Make sure to get the healthy sleep

A disruptive bedtime can easily influence concentration. Occasional disruption in sleep may not lead to too many problems but regularly failing to get a peaceful night’s sleep affect you’re your mood, concentration, and performance as well. Lack of sleep and being too tired can slow down reflexes and affect the ability to drive. You can improve sleep by following tips,
1. Put away screens an hour before you go to bed
2. Maintain the room temperature according to weather
3. Take a warm bath before going to bed
4. Go to bed and get up at the same time daily

Go outside at natural atmosphere

At least 15 to 20 minutes you should daily visit the natural places it can boost up your ability of concentration. Scientific information increasingly favours the positive impact of natural environments. A research study of 2014 indicates that including the plants in the office spaces increase concentration and productivity also improves the air quality as well.

Avoid the nearby disturbance

If you touch the spider web with the spoon first-time spider will react and will start looking for what is touching the web, but if you will do it several times the spider will realise that there is no insect and will not look back. Similarly, when you sit on your work seat just give yourself 5 minutes to think about the possible sources of distraction and then instruct your mind you have to ignore such distractions. For example, when you sit for study somebody will drop something near you or knock on the door you have to ignore all these distractions.

Keyword strategy

This is a very useful technique. In this, you just think of a keyword related to your work, when you feel distracted just start saying the keyword again and again until you get back to ongoing work. There are no special rules to select a keyword.

Conclusion

To increase the concentration power is a slow process and one who wants to do this needs to do practice above mentioned techniques daily. Initially, by practising these strategies, you may not feel any change but with time there will be a major increase in your ability to concentrate on all stages of life.
